CHANGES IN NATURE

 From the human point of view, the harmony of the systems, ecosystems and the universe seem to have a function, which is to procure the life of the species and more specifically that of the human species. Many scientists and people wonder if there is life beyond Earth. Every day we discover new galaxies and planets, and we are amazed at the enormity of the universe. All this is an immense waste of natural power, and we consider it good because we know the great value of life, whether it exists or not beyond the earth.

The Amazon is suffering a serious environmental catastrophe right now. Last August, 2.5 million, hectares. were burned, according to estimates by Brazil´s National Institute for Space Research (INPE). Amazon States have already declared an emergency situation. Instead of curbing this tragedy, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is encouraging practices that are prodeforestation and against the environment. On August 10 and 11, farmers around a main road in the Amazon publicly celebrated a "day of fire" to deforest with fire and clear the way for soybean plantations and cattle ranching. this resukted in a 300% increase in fires in the area. it´s unforgivable. The planet can´t afford to have the Amazon on fire. It Bolsonaro does not act as quickly as the emergency demands, it will take decades to recover. Demand that Bolsonaro not destroy the Amazon and now aplly policies of zero deforestation.   . 

The global variation of the earth's climate is called climate change. This variation is due to natural causes and human action and occurs on all climatic parameters: temperature, rainfall, cloudiness, on a variety of time scales.  Rising temperatures have many consequences at other levels, such as weather extremes ( hurricanes, prolonged droughts, floods) sea level rise or change in weather patterns in certain areas. The biggest problem of accelerated climate change is that our societies are not prepared to take on the changes this may bring: m elting of the glaciers and snow-capped mountains that supply aqueducts, changes in the flowering and fruiting cycles of crop plants,  rises in sea levels where there is a large population living, greater occurrence and strength in rains, droughts, hurricanes, frosts and hailstorms in urban and rural areas among other phenomena that undoubtedly reduce our quality of life.
